Solid Oak also know as American Solid Oak is valued for its density, strength and resiliency and because of its closed cellular structure is preferred for use in furniture, martial arts weapons and interior finishes including hardwood flooring. The Solid Oak is very resistant to insect and fungal attacks because of its high tannin content. It also has very appealing grain markings making it a great choice for flooring. This type of Antique Oak boarding is remilled on its underside and edges, but retains it's original old worn surface. The thickness is 18mm, with random width from 122mm. Lengths are RL No artificial ageing technique can reproduce the look of these genuine Antique Oak boards.
